Andre Johnson Jr., a former preferred walk-on for the UConn men's basketball team, has entered the transfer portal.
Johnson played two seasons for the Huskies, appearing in 25 games and scoring a total of 12 points. He shot 40.7% from the field and 36.4% from three-point range.
Johnson was a key part of UConn's 2024 NCAA Tournament run, playing a significant role in the Huskies' second-round win over Northwestern. He also started several games during the 2021-22 season.
Johnson's departure leaves UConn with just one walk-on on its roster: sophomore Jalen Gaffney.
